Hi.

Welcome to Everything Shyusized, where I write about travel, style, and everything in between. Hope you have a nice stay!

Where are they now: Brow pencils

I've collected a good amount of beauty products with similar if not same purpose since I started getting into makeup more and more, I thought it would be fun to start a series to talk about all the items I've purchased and mentioned, and share how I feel about them. Naming this the "Where are they now" series, I'm excited to share and look back on the items I've tried and talk about where I stand with them now.The first edition of course I have to start with my must have in my makeup routine - the brow pencils. Brow pencil is the first real makeup item I own and use religiously, its my must have and the item I would pick if I can only have one makeup item for the rest of my life. So let's jump into it!When I first started this blog I was using the Estee Lauder Automatic Brow Pencil Duo in dark brown, it was a gift from my mom and the first legit brow pencil I own. The warm brown color matched my colored hair at the time very well and it was easy to apply. I used it religiously because it worked well for my daily needs, quick and dirty. She got me the Shu Uemura Hard Formula in Stone Grey after I've gone through 2 of the Estee Lauder one because she knows how much I depend on them and thought it would be nice for me to try other ones. She was always excited to introduce me to items that she's heard good things about and I'm truly grateful for that. The color of the Shu Uemura one is a grey that's very neutral, it does a great job filling in my brow with a few quick strokes, but it's hard to get some definition with it since it's lighter. Then, I discovered the Anastasia Brow Wiz after I start following all the beauty bloggers and watching a ridiculous amount of beauty/make up videos. The Anastasia Brow Wiz has changed my brow game and I've not felt the same about my other brow pencils ever since I started using it. I love the tiny nib that can let me draw in "hair like" lines to make the look more natural, the wide color range they have to offer is also amazing, I had soft brown when I had colored hair (a warm-ish brown), then switch to dark brown after my hair grew out because it matches my natural hair color better.I've not tried to look for other brow products since I found the Anastasia Brow Wiz, it has been my go-to although sometimes I'll use the other 2 when I'm in a hurry and just need a quick fill in. I don't think I will repurchase those but I will definitely look for another pencil that can do a quick fill once I run out of those two.
