Hi.

Welcome to Everything Shyusized, where I write about travel, style, and everything in between. Hope you have a nice stay!

What's in my makeup bag: Bridesmaid makeup DIY

Tomorrow I will be in one of my best friends wedding and watch her as she walks down the aisle. I'm beyond excited and can't wait for all the festivities. Today I want to share with you what I will be bringing and using for my makeup, as this is one of the most extensive makeup I've done thus far because I need to make sure it looks natural but still shows up well in photos, and it also has to be very long lasting. Honestly I'm a little nervous since I this will be my first time doing makeup on myself when I'm in a wedding, but I'm also very excited as I think it will be very fun! So let's get right into it.To prep the eyes I will be using the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion which has always worked well for me. Eyeshadow wise I plan on mixing the Lorac Pro Palette and the Stila Eyes Are the Window Shadow Palette in Soul to create a natural but slightly smoky look, I think the Lorac Pro Palette alone would be fine for the eye look I want, but I love the Stila Kitten included in the palette, and I also think the light brown in this palette is a better base color for my eyes as the color is lighter, more neutral and will be great for blending. I will be using the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Liner in Black to do a not too dramatic wing, though I really would prefer using brown liner as it makes the eye look softer, but the current brown liquid liner I have is the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner and the pigmentation/formula has not been applying as smooth as the Trooper one nor the Stila one. To finish off the eyes I will be using the Maybelline The Rocket Mascara (waterproof, of course) to help hold the eyelashes and hopefully no smudge when I get teary during the wedding. For the brows of course I'm bringing my trusted Anastasia Brow Wiz and combining it with the Benefit Gimme Brow Gel to help with the lasting power, nothing too crazy here.On to the face makeup, this part is what I'm most nervous about because I don't usually do a lot of face makeup since I like the feeling of a clean face and wants my face to be able to breath. To start, I'll be using the Smashbox Iconic Photo Finish Foundation Primer samples (easier for travel), the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser and the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (in travel size pot) to prep my face. Then I will be using my favorite contour palette Becca Lowlight/Highliight Perfecting Palette Pressed to create a soft contour, then use the NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette for bronzing and blush. What I'm actually most excited about is actually the highlighting part, as the Becca Opal is just so darn pretty! It might be a little intense for everyday work look, but I think this will be perfect for this wedding (especially with all the metallic/beaded dresses the bridesmaids will be wearing). To finish up the face I will be using the Too Faced Primed & Poreless Pressed Powder especially on the T zone and hope that my face stays dewy and not shiny throughout the day. And the very last but definitely very important, the lips! I'm keeping it simple but making sure I line the lips to extend the longevity of the color, I'll be using the MAC Lip Liner in Soar and on top of that use the Lorac Breakthrough Performance Lipsticks in Premiere, which is my favorite MLBB lipstick. Honestly I found this lipstick on sale online and purchased it without knowing anything about it, I ended up falling in love with it. I love the formula and the color is really perfect for me, and it's been my fail safe lip color.
