Hi.

Welcome to Everything Shyusized, where I write about travel, style, and everything in between. Hope you have a nice stay!

A blog face lift

blog face liftAs a spare of a moment thing I decided to change up my blog theme!  It's actually been on my mind for a while now, but I just haven't found the motivation to do so... But better late than never though!I liked how clean my previous theme was, but I didn't really care for the font and it really bothered me that the links to my archives, category and social media were all the way on the bottom of the page.  To me it was too hard to find and not noticeable, and as a person that reads a lot of blogs I would not enjoy being on a blog where I have to try really hard find the category list or other links, honestly most people probably didn't even know I had them on display because it was not visible when you first get on the page.  It just wasn't a good set up in my opinion.I'm a little ashamed to admit this but when I first started this blog, I didn't know how long I would actually be able to keep up with it, therefore I didn't want to spend a lot of time on it if I was just going to stop after a month.  But after blogging for almost a year, I am certain that I want to keep doing this!  It is a great creative outlet and a little personal space of mine to share my thoughts, and I'm really enjoying it.This new theme I picked still don't have a  visible side bar with links, but it has a top bar with all the social media links I want to put up so people can easily select what they want to go to with a simple click.  I've always loved social media icons more than actual text link because I think it adds a little bit of fun element to the page, and this theme gave me exactly that!  There's also a hidden side bar if you click the top right corner where the stripes are it'll pop out, which house my archive and category list so you can easily find a category you're looking for, this also keeps the main space clean without any extra texts that takes away the focus of the posts!I'm still debating if I want to add a logo to give this blog more personality... I love logo design but I feel it's so hard for me to design something for myself because I'll always want to tweak it.  Definitely a working process, but I really like the new look so far and think it's a lot more streamlined! What do you think?
