Taking a work trip is always exciting but stressful for me. I feel like there are a lot of responsibility associated with it, but at the same time you get to see and visit some of the places you otherwise wouldn’t.
This past week I had a mini work trip to Houston, it was my first time visiting the city and I was excited to have a look around. We visited the Toyota Center (and all the VIP and behind the scene area that are normally restricted/not allowed for outsiders), the George. R. Brown Convention Center, different hotels in downtown Houston, and also the NRG stadium. I was able to do some sight seeing while doing our site visit, and also met some amazing people that are really great at what they do.
It was an eye opening client meeting for me as I don’t usually get to experience the “planning” side of things, and it also made me appreciate all the events I attend and design more after seeing how much work goes into planning an event. Here’s a little taste of Houston! Hopefully I’ll be able to go back and actually spend some time exploring the city next time!
