When I saw these shoes on the Everlane “coming soon” page, I immediately signed up for the waitlist and marked my calendar for when I can order them. And seeing them all over social media when they hosted the Day Market in SF and NYC the weekend before the launch I was so tempted to take the train up to the city and see them in person.
I stayed up late the night before the launch so I can order as soon as midnight hits, though I spent hours deciding which color to get (mainly between the nude, black, or the red), I ended up picking the black. After days of staring at the tracking page, it finally arrived! And it’s even more beautiful than I expect. The leather is SO soft, and they’re SO comfortable! I love the look of them and now am waiting for May 5th to arrive so I can place my order for another pair in different color.
Since I just got them yesterday, I can’t really speak to the longevity of them, but they’re seriously the most comfortable heels I’ve ever worn. We recently just got standing desks at work and being on my feet for 8hrs + a day I was worried about how these will hold up, but to my somewhat surprised (as many have already reviewed and raved about them) they really are so easy to wear even for being on your feet for an extended period of time. The one thing I think is worth noting is that since the leather is so soft, it will show where your feet stretches the shoes when you wear them, so definitely make sure you get the best size and don’t try to “make it work” with a smaller size. Everlane has great customer service and you can always exchange if you got a wrong size, though you might have to wait till May 5th (their restock day) to get the replacement.
So in conclusion, for those of you that waited or are holding out till you see the verdict on these heels, GET THEM! You will not regret it, seriously perfection of form and function.
Although the weather makes it seem like spring is still far far away, my mind is ready for a change. With spring and summer right around the corner (or so we hope), I am eager to update my basics!
Everlane, known for their radical transparency is not only good for your soul but also good for your wallet. They are not shy when it comes to sharing the factories their products are made in, and they’re also happy to share how much it cost to make them. I love how they are also very active on social media, easy to reach and quick to response whenever you have any questions about anything and everything they’re working on. Other than their ethical practice, their products are also top notch in quality.
I only started wearing their tanks last summer, and they have soon become my most reached for items. I currently have 2 of the Ryan Tanks and one of the Cotton Tank, but I cannot wait to get my hands on more of their basics which I know I will be living in comes spring and summer.
- The Cotton Tank / The Ryan Tank
I have both the Cotton Tank and the Ryan tank, I love them both butI have a prefer time and place for each of them. After a season of testing, I find that during the weekend I love the more rigid feel of the Cotton Tank over the soft, body hugging Ryan because it gives my body a little more breathing room. But when it comes to going out at night or wearing to work under a cardigan, I prefer the Ryan because it drapes beautifully and is more feminine.
- The Ryan Pocket Tee
Of all the tees I saw on everlane, this one stands out the most to me. I love the casual drape style and I think the fabric gives out a more fenimen vibe even though you’re pretty much wearing an oversized tee.
- The Cotton V
A staple in every closet is a nice v neck tee. I’ve purchased many from Target when I was in college and practically lived in them, but the fabric is a little too soft and body hugging and the shape does not wash well so you get lots of pilling and wrinkled neckline that makes the shirt look sloppy. I’m hoping to find a long lasting staple tee and this might just be the answer.
- The Slouchy Cotton Slub Tank
Tank tops are my go to when it comes to summer, I love putting a cardigan or jacket/blazer over it so I can have the flexibility of being more formal or very casual. I like how this piece is a little more over sized than their regular Cotton tank, the combination of a more casual shape and the pocket detail gives it a little more edge.
