Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette

This collaboration is all the rage lately in the beauty world. I personally really enjoy Jaclyn Hill's videos and snaps, and was extremely interested when I saw this palette launched back in May. However, I didn't purchase it back then because I didn't use a lot of highlight in my day to day routine back then (speaking like that was so long ago) and wasn't sure if I'll really get a lot of use out of this. But after seeing everyone talking about it, I started to do more and more highlighting with the products I already have, including one from Becca, and I fell in love with the idea of having glowy, dewy skin especially for summer. So when this palette relaunched on June 16th, I immediately placed an order. You may have read lots of other reviews already, but I want to share a little of my own opinion as well! First of all I really love the packaging, it is beautifully made and the mirror is amazing! Though I'm a little worried about the white/glossy material attracting fingerprints, scratches and other makeup products... In this palette, I was most excited about the highlighters because I think they are so fun to play with, and Champagne Pop and Prosecco Pop are both beautiful but very different. On me Champagne Pop is not too pink, but more like a pearl with a hint of pink/peach which is gorgeous. Prosecco Pop is the perfect gold for my more tanned skin tone in the summer, although it could be a little intense. My favorite way to use them is what I did in the picture above, where I mixed the 2 together. As mentioned the intensity of Prosecco Pop, you can see some gold shinning through!I was a little afraid of the blushes because all the reviews say they're very pigmented and one of the colors (Pamplemousse) looks SUPER bright in the pan, which is very unlike any other color I usually use. After playing around with them for a while I've come to the conclusion that the best way to approach them is to just use a fluffy blush and with a light hand, and they will look amazing on the skin. My favorite is probably Amaretto because it's a more neutral color that's very easy to wear, but when I want something that pops I like to mix Pamplemousse and Rose Spritz to give my cheeks some extra glow. Rose Spritz is seriously gorgeous and is perfect for giving your overall look an extra oomph.Overall I really enjoy playing around with this palette, but it'll probably take me forever to hit pan because there's just SO MUCH product in this palette. And on a separate note, I want to say that I'm not a professional make up artist and I'm not very picky or sensitive when it comes to formulas. I know there are a lot of rumors/drama going on about this collaboration, but I personally don't have any problem with it. So if you're interested in the colors and adding fun highlights to your summer makeup, I'd say give this a try! It's a great value and the color payoff is amazing.
